Project HOPE Salvation Army
The Salvation Army has a program called Project HOPE (Homeless Outreach to Place and Empower) It works to provide homeless individuals and families the support and services they need to establish permanent homes and achieve self-sufficiency.
The goal of Project HOPE is to move people off of the streets. An outreach specialist drives to parks and washes Monday through Friday each week. Homeless individuals are offered transportation to Project HOPE, shelters, or the homes of family with the guarantee they will have a safer place to sleep by nightfall.

Project HOPE seeks to break down all barriers preventing success. Clients are provided with essentials like food, bus tickets, interview clothing, work clothing, furniture and bedding. Project HOPE also helps clients obtain proper identification and refers clients with specific needs to other community agencies.
